The UK's First Socially Distanced Festival

 

The UK’s first social distancing festival, Gisburne Park Pop Up, captured global attention when it launched in 2020. With innovative social distancing measures and a diverse program of events for all ages, the festival featured world-class DJs, moonlit movie nights, and legendary rock stars in a stunning countryside setting.

 

Its overwhelming success led to an extension by an extra month to meet demand. Over 12 weeks, the festival hosted more than 20,000 guests, created 100 jobs, and received over 200 media mentions worldwide, including in Australia and the US. Building on this success, the team launched a Christmas series, welcoming another 20,000 guests to a socially distanced Santa’s grotto, outdoor Christmas markets, and a drive-in pantomime, solidifying their position as pioneers of socially distanced events in the UK.​​
